Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 17, 2026
Micro is a mobile app with quick trivia, brain games, daily progress, achievements, and profile features. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Micro.
Information We Collect
Micro is designed to be local-first. Most app activity is stored on your device, including:
- display name
- selected avatar
- quiz progress
- game progress
- XP, streaks, achievements, and history
- local app settings such as sound, haptics, and appearance
This information is stored locally on your device and is not sent to our own servers.
Advertising
Micro uses Google AdMob to show ads, including banner ads and rewarded ads.
Google and its partners may collect or receive information from your device to provide ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and comply with legal requirements. Depending on your region and device settings, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
Micro uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request ad consent where required. On iOS, Micro may also request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," ads may still appear, but they may be less personalized.
Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
If you use Micro in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we may ask for your consent before showing personalized ads or using certain advertising identifiers. Micro uses Google's User Messaging Platform to collect and manage this consent where required.
You can choose whether to allow personalized ads. If you do not consent, Micro may still show non-personalized ads. You may also be able to update your ad privacy choices from the app's Settings where available.
You can learn more about how Google uses information here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
In-App Purchases
Micro may offer optional in-app purchases, such as content packs, challenge packs, or removing ads.
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card information. Apple may provide us limited purchase-related information needed to unlock purchased features, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and support app functionality.
Children's Privacy
Micro is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Device Permissions
Micro may request permissions only when needed for app functionality, advertising consent, or platform requirements. You can manage app permissions in your device settings.
Data Stored on Your Device
Because Micro is local-first, deleting the app may delete locally stored app progress and settings unless iOS preserves that data. You may also use in-app reset tools, where available, to clear local app data.
Third-Party Services
Micro may use third-party services, including:
- Google AdMob for advertising
- Google User Messaging Platform for ad consent
- Apple App Store services for in-app purchases
These third parties may process information according to their own privacy policies.
Exporting and Importing Data
Micro may allow you to export and import your app data, such as profile settings, progress, XP, achievements, history, and game stats.
Exported files are created only when you choose to export them. Once exported, the file may be saved to your device, iCloud Drive, Files, AirDrop, email, or another location you select. You are responsible for where you store or share exported files.
When you import a Micro data file, the app may replace or update local app data on your device. Micro does not send exported or imported data to our own servers.
Your Choices
You can:
- manage ad consent choices where available in the app
- manage Apple tracking permission in iOS Settings
- reset local app data using app settings where available
- uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data from your device
- export or import local app data where the app providdes that feature
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above.
